Staying grounded in a pandemic

Dear Readers, how are you managing during these ultra-stress-filled days of pandemic across our world? I am sending each of you copious amounts of calm, emerald green light, silver light of healing, and crystalline light of clarity to help fortify you as you navigate the days and weeks ahead.

My own mental, emotional and physical bodies seem to be continuously cycling through stages of calm, feeling grounded and able to handle the latest news cycle, to experiencing the effects of stress and anxiety on all levels, and then eventually cycling back to peace again. This is happening at least daily, if not hourly sometimes. As the situation becomes more extreme and challenging, we will all be stretched in ways we probably didn’t even know we could be—and it doesn’t feel good! My physical body is certainly feeling very uncomfortable and in pain in certain areas. I’m not ill, and don’t have any symptoms of the coronavirus, thankfully. Yet, it is extremely disconcerting to hear what news reporters and government authorities are telling all of us. Within the past 48 hours, Spain and France have been put on lockdown and quarantines are in place for nearly all their citizens. Today (Monday, March 16, 2020) here in the United States, the president announced that the Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that no groups of more than 10 people gather, people refrain from going to restaurants and bars, and practice social distancing (standing at least 6 feet from the next person). This afternoon, the city and counties around San Francisco went into quarantine, as the mayor asked all residents to stay home except for getting essentials like food and meds. The greater San Francisco area has around 7 million people. New York city likewise has gone into quarantine, with all the normal activities of that metropolis coming to a standstill. One by one, large cities across the United States are following suit and it is very likely that nearly all of them will be in quarantine status very soon.

I think it is not an exaggeration to state that almost no one alive on our planet today has lived through a time quite like the current pandemic. Surely, many millions have lived through horrific wars, intense natural disasters, and epidemics of various kinds over the last decades. But there is something unique about the spread of the novel coronavirus that is leaving millions of us in shock and awe. It feels like we are in a bizarre, dystopian reality show, which is being written by the human collective minute by minute.

Dear Readers, part of the mission of this blog is to encourage you to find the interrelatedness between us all and the natural world. To make the connections we have to each other and Mother Gaia as strong and as compassionate as possible.  To inspire you to dig down deep into your heart and soul for answers to life’s perplexing and confounding problems. At this pivotal moment in time, we have reached a true crossroads. This coronavirus pandemic is asking each of us, and all of us, to fully grasp how utterly connected we are with one another and with our planet. We are being challenged to go beyond the old paradigm of separation and to see with new eyes just how profoundly we are one people who share it all—down to the very smallest living particles in our bodies. This is a moment. We, who are willing to see clearly, must understand that this virus pandemic is forcing us to confront this truth, and let down our egoistic self in favor of raising up our collective self. In our mandated “social isolation” from one another, we have the tremendous opportunity to reach out in every way we can imagine—in the virtual world of conferences, classes, church services, human services, workspaces, as well as entertainment, sports, shopping, and socializing.

How creative can we be in the face of crisis; the pandemic is asking us. We already have excellent examples all around, both of generosity and pettiness. What of the Tennessee brothers who bought up tens of thousands of bottles of hand sanitizer to sell for inflated prices on Amazon.com, only to be told they couldn’t do it? They ended up, shame-faced, donating them all to the greater good. Or the lyrical story of Italians who, unable to come out into the streets like they are accustomed to do, instead opening their windows and balconies to sing together? People across the world are helping each other in ways small and big. Many thousands of health care workers are dedicated to helping the sick and infected, at possibly huge cost to themselves.

It has been said, it is only when confronted with an emergency that the best in human nature presents itself. Therefore, Crisis is also an Opportunity. I believe this is a moment when we can each choose to find our core strength and courage, when we can step up to the opportunities presented to us for showing compassion and love in the face of adversity. We have a real chance now to lay down the old games of greed, selfishness and pettiness. Life is giving us a new gameboard and we can make up new rules for how to live on Earth. All the things we have been dreaming of—a world based on freedom, love, truth, justice, peace and goodness—are within our grasp. This pandemic could be our grand opportunity to create the new rules moving forward. We don’t HAVE to return to the old normal once we’re on the other side of it. We can forgive transgressions now, we can live justly now, we can give generously now, and build on that momentum moving into the future.

Dear Readers, I encourage each of you reading this post to dig down deep and find your true strength and reason for being alive on the planet. What are you here to do? What are you living for? What kind of world do you wish to build for your children and great grandchildren? This crisis moment can show us in stark terms that not only is a better world possible, but it can happen with lightning speed. In just one month in China, because manufacturing came to a standstill, carbon emissions were cut by 25%. That is an enormous amount of pollution that didn’t occur in a very short period of time. We have the solutions to the problems humanity faces. Perhaps, a year or two from now, we will collectively be able to see the real path to solving them as one of the great learnings from our current pandemic.

Please take all the precautions you can at this time to keep yourself, your family and your community safe. Keep calm, be brave, and shine your light for all who are still in the darkness.

On the brink

light_upon-the-gloom

Welcome to the energies of 2020. As if on cue, the new year and decade have arrived with the clarion call for Change. Due to the immense influx of cosmic light which blasted Earth at the end of last year, it has brought both the energies of light and of darkness into high relief. America’s warmongers, led by the president’s lunatic decision to have the military kill one of Iran’s highest military leaders has led the United States to the brink of a full out war with Iran. Echoes of the year 2001, when the war dogs became ravenous and created an immensely tragic war with Iraq, are present in the atmosphere once more. War. It’s presence on our planet has been a constant for more millennia than history can tell. At this pivotal moment for humanity, it has smelled yet another opportunity to feast upon human flesh and blood, to wreak destruction and havoc, and to siphon yet more resources that could go towards our common Good into its gaping, hideous jaws.

There are those who believe we are living through biblical prophesies. That the years we’ve gone through and are now facing are the Great Tribulation. That Armageddon is right here and now on Earth. Looking at the daily news cycle, it is clear that humanity is certainly going through unprecedented hard times, chaotic energies, ongoing emergencies, wars, and basically all manner of hell. The energies of chaos and disruption are heavy, dense, dark and oppressive. How can we humans cope in the face of all that?

Dear Readers, I am simply one more human being trying, like you, to manage as best as I can through all the density and gloom. For my own sanity and self-care, I turn to the masters who walked the path before me. Many people came to Earth and faced equally horrific and terrifying situations and gave us road maps for how to traverse through the most difficult of journeys. In fact, every culture on our planet has its heroes and brave, noble, peace-loving souls. The ones who persevered in spite of the most dire of circumstances. The ones who held their inner light as strongly as humanly possible and shone that soul light out into the darkness. Although most left their human forms long ago, their light still shines because that is what the light of divinity does. It is an eternal fire and cannot be destroyed. The other great gift these masters gave us is the lesson that we each carry that same soul light within us, and have the same exact power to wield it before those who would destroy it and us. Gandhi implored us to Be the Light and the Change. So did Martin Luther King. So did countless other leaders of the Way, the Truth and the Life. Buddha, Jesus, Krisna, Quan Yin, Mother Mary, all the Dali Lamas, all the holy people of each age. No matter what your spiritual beliefs may be, nor what part of the world your ancestors are from, the real truth of human beings is that we are not separate from one another, nor from nature, nor from our spiritual roots in the higher, divine realms.

As the current, insane world leaders attempt their latest rendition of shock, awe and destroy so they can continue to reap the profits from war racketeering and human misery, it is IMPERATIVE for us—the ones who are reading, the ones who are feeling the exhaustion, the ones who are pleading peace—to daily hold our Light on high and SHINE OUT into the world. Blast your light as wide and as far as you possibly can, dear Readers! Because we are now into a New Era on Earth/ Gaia, when each one’s light is their greatest strength and weapon to defeat the darkness. The time is now and you are exactly where you need to be. Conquer fear through shining your lovelight upon it. And don’t let anyone cover your light. You are incredibly important to the unfolding of what is to come. Stay calm, and remember to breathe into the news of each unfolding event. Keep breathing and shining your light. Keep going.

Preparing for the new decade of “profound truth”

Hello dear Readers! I wish you all a restful and calm entry into 2020. By all indications, the decade and year ahead of us promises to be full of intensity, revelations, increasing awareness on many levels, and changes for humanity. I have heard it described as a decade of “profound truthtelling.” All this past year on this blog, I’ve written about the deep and profound changes our human race is continually confronting, or denying. 2019 brought many revelations about our collective shadow into the light, along with continued Earth changes and extreme weather events. For those readers interested in photojournalism, go to the New York Times, The Guardian.org and Time Magazine’s websites for amazing photo essays of not only the past year, but the past decade on Earth. We are truly all living through the most extraordinary of times.

On the eve of the 2020s, I’d like to offer a thought experiment. Let me take you forward in time about 500 years. Pretend that it is the eve of the year 2525. For the sake of this experiment, a few parameters are necessary. First, there are still humans living on Earth, and we look mostly the same as we have since the start of the 2000s. And there is still wild nature upon Earth, including land animals, creatures of the sea, birds, insects, temperate forests, beaches, rainforests, rivers, mountains, snow and the tropics. It has changed from what it was like a few hundred years ago, but still recognizable to those of us living in 2020.

Here is where it gets interesting. Beyond those basics of life on Earth in 2525, I’d like you to use your imagination to fill in the details of life on Earth. How do people live now? Are there vast cities, small villages, communities? What do people do with their time? Do they still have what we call “work?” What is life like for the children? Do families live together? Do they have pets? What kind of pets do they keep? How do people eat? Dress? Entertain each other and themselves? Are there many different cultures across the planet? How do they communicate? What is transportation like? Is the Earth clean, healthy, sustained without doing the planet harm, like in the old days of the fossil fuel wars? Have the Earth’s people learned to live in a peaceful way, and no longer harm and destroy each other and the planet? Have they learned to go beyond their base instincts and created societies without hunger, disease, and corruption?

fifth-dimension-world
What might our world be like, and who will we be hanging out with 500 years from now?

Now think about how the humans interact with all the many beings from other planets and star systems they’ve come to know during the past 500 years. Once they stopped fearing the presence of galactic societies, the gateways opened and they began to have contact with many other races from within and beyond their own galaxy. After a certain point, old popular science fiction films from the 21st century were no longer fiction, as people realized their galactic and interstellar friends had been there all along, simply waiting for the proper time to reconnect. The reunions of humans with their star brethren were a joyous time for all. Instead of remaining in fear and dread concerning what they had once considered dangerous ETs, the human family as a whole learned to trust and rely upon vast assistance from their more advanced galactic friends. This process accelerated the huge undertaking of Earth’s cleanup and restoration towards the end of the 21st and into the 22nd centuries.

Dear Readers, I bring this thought experiment to you as a way to encourage each of us to take our future as humans living on Earth/ Gaia very seriously. For this brand new year and decade of the 2020s is an invitation to us all to use our powers of imagination and creativity for the highest good of our race and for our beloved planet. Can we lay down our old, tired fears and anxieties in this new decade, and DECIDE for the Good, the True, and the Beautiful to reign? Aren’t we completely exhausted from the old paradigm of negative and neurotic thoughts, of greed and war and corruption ruling humanity as it has done for millennia? If you, like me, are ready to create a world based upon love as the foundation, and can envision our world as peaceful, the people as fulfilled, joyful, and living in harmony with Nature, then please join me now and in the days to come in imagining a new world—Nova Gaia. It doesn’t have to simply be a nice, yet impossible dream any longer. The old, cynical point of view we’ve been fed throughout the past half century–that it’s impossible to create a better and peaceful world–must be buried starting NOW–There is more light pouring onto our planet than EVER before, more of humanity awakening to the possibility of a better, more just and healthy way for all to live each day, and an amplified presence of light and of love upon Earth. Critical mass for positive change is well underway, and the new decade will usher it in. Won’t you join our movement for a peaceful, just, compassionate, kind and loving humanity? We are many millions strong and growing bigger every day.

Happy 2020 to everyone! May you each be blessed in your lives with peace and love, abundance, joy, and with the unshakeable knowledge that a peaceful, healthy and abundant world is not only possible, but it is being created by each one of us who hold light and love every day through our thoughts, words and actions. I see the light within each of you, and honor your presence.
